In glycolysis of cellular respiration, the pyruvate amounts to c^3h^4o^3. The amount for carbon and oxygen make sense as there a

re two pyruvates and together they amount to 6 carbons and 6 oxygens (the amount glucose has), but the amount of hydrogens don't add up. There are 8 in total (from both pyruvates) and 2 going to NADPH, but that amounts to 10 hydrogens, not 12. Are the other two hydrogens used during glycolysis elsewhere? Are they released in a different form? Am I missing something?

What is epithelium?

• Layers of cells known as "epithelium" line hollow organs and glands.
• These cells are also responsible for the body's exterior.
• The epithelium is a type of body tissue that covers all of the internal and exterior body surfaces, lines hollow organs and body cavities, and makes up the majority of glandular tissue.
• They make up the majority of the tissue in glands, line body cavities and hollow organs, and cover all of the body's surfaces.
• They conduct a multitude of activities that include protection, secretion, absorption, excretion, filtration, diffusion, and sensory reception.
• Because word was first used to describe the translucent layer of tiny tissue "nipples" on the lip, epithelium got its name.
• The plural version of the term is epithelia, and it has both mass and count connotations.
• A form of animal tissue known as an epithelium is composed of tightly packed cells, or epithelial cells, that lie atop a basement membrane.
• Its purpose is to cover or line different bodily surfaces and cavities.
