Answer:

I.  C

II.  A, D

III.  B

Lines that coincide have infinite solutions, and parallel lines have no solutions.

Step-by-step explanation:

3. To solve this equation, look at the slopes of the equation.  The equations are in y=mx+b form.  m is equal to the slope.

Equations with different slopes will have one solution, meaning that the lines will intersect once.

Equations with the same slope will either have no solutions or infinite solutions.  <u>If the equations are the exact same</u>, it will have infinite solutions, meaning that the line "intersects" itself in infinite places since its basically one line right on top of another.  <u>If the equations have different y-intercepts</u>, it will have no solutions because the lines are going at the same angle, are parallel and will never intersect.

This means that A and D have one solution, B has infinite solutions, and C has no solutions.

4.  Lines that coincide have infinite solutions, and parallel lines have no solutions.

Answer:

x^2-4x+3

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the zeroes of the quadratic are 1 and 3, we can set up an equation in factored form:

(x-1)(x-3)

=x^2-4x+3

We can further check that this is the right answer by evaluating it at the vertex:

(2)^2-4*2+3=-1

Since that corresponds to the graph, the answer is x^2-4x+3

Using the graph of the quadratic function, identify the domain

Answer: Choice B)  -infinity < x < infinity

==========================================================

Explanation:

The parabola goes on forever to the left and to the right. We can plug in any x value without worrying about something as a division by zero error. So any real number will work.

Writing -infinity < x < infinity refers to the entire number line, which is the set of all real numbers.

PLZ HELP ME &gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;THANKYOU
Aleonysh [2.5K]

Step-by-step explanation:

There are two commonly recognized beginner methods to solve a system of equations.  The first is elimination and the second is substitution.  I will go over both of them here.

Substitution:

y=-2x-9, y=-5x-21

-2x-9 = -5x -21

3x=-12

x=-4

y=-5(-4)-21

y=-1

Elimination:

This method is a bit hard to explain without visual aid, but I'll try my best :)

In elimination you can subtract each value with a common variable from its counterpart in the other equation.  For this example, subtract y-y to get 0, -2x - (-5x) to get 3x, and -9 - (-21) to get 12.

Thus,

-12=3x

x=-4

y=-5(-4)-21

y=-1

Hope it helps and lmk if you need more help <3 :D
