Answer:

The correct answer is the first statement, because the essay will compare ideas that are similar but treated differently.

Explanation:

In a comparative essay the writer compares at least two things that may have some similarities or differences. These items can differ according to the assignment. From the options, the first one states "<em>The editorial "Adoption Is the Only Choice” and the news article "Animal Shelters Overpopulated” both discuss the same topic, but they serve different purposes</em>." The two things that are being compared are an editorial and a news article, while the topic is animals, even though they talk about it in a different way. Due to this, it is the correct answer.

Could someone check my work?
Naily [24]
The answer is B. "He asked himself where it had come from and how; the past provided no explanation, and the future could not justify it."

This option is not a dark humor because it does not show the opposite side of happiness. The other choices explain that although there is happiness, he considered it as a burden- making it a dark humor.

What animal represents Athena? Give a piece of evidence to back<br> up your answer
tekilochka [14]

Answer:

kaitlynwalsh78 avatar

If you mean Athena the goddess of war and wisdom...I would say a hawk or eagle would represent her. Birds are peaceful creatures, but when they attack, they attack hard! Birds like owls are followed with wisdom, but a hawk in my opinion would best represent her. Since it is a peaceful creature, but will strike a "war" if necessary.
