Simplifying:  4x + 52 + 8x + -10 = 90

Reorder the terms:  52 + -10 + 4x + 8x = 90

Combine like terms: 52 + -10 = 42    42 + 4x + 8x = 90

Combine like terms: 4x + 8x = 12x    42 + 12x = 90

42 + 12x = 90

Solving for variable 'x'.   Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.   Add '-42' to each side of the equation.  42 + -42 + 12x = 90 + -42    Combine like terms: 42 + -42 = 0

0 + 12x = 90 + -42   12x = 90 + -42

Combine like terms: 90 + -42 = 48   12x = 48

Divide each side by '12'.  x = 4     from https://www.geteasysolution.com/4x+52+8x-10=90

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the zero x = a of f(x) then f(a) = 0

(5)

f(9) =9³ - 8(9)² - 2(9) - 63 = 729 - 648 - 18 - 63 = 0

Hence x = 9 is a zero of the polynomial

(6)

2(-3)^{4} - 3(- 3)³ - 36(- 3)² - 37(- 3) - 26 = 162 + 81 - 324 + 111 - 26 = 4 ≠ 0

Hence x = - 3 is not a zero of the polynomial

gayaneshka [121]
Since there is 179 carved animals and boxes that hold 8 of them each, you do 179/8 to find how many boxes you need. The answer for 179/8 is 22 with 3 animals left over. The question says how many boxes will be completely filled, so the answer to this question is 22.

Consider the population of four juvenile condors. Their weights in pounds are : 4, 5, 7, 12 (a) Let x be the weight of a juvenil
creativ13 [48]

Answer:

a) 4, 5, 7, 12

b) 7

c) 4.5, 6.5, 8, 6, 8.5, 9.5

d) 7.167

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following in the question:

4, 5, 7, 12

a) unique values for x

4, 5, 7, 12

b) mean of the population

Mean = \displaystyle\frac{\text{Sum of all observations}}{\text{Total number of observation}}

\mu =\displaystyle\frac{28}{4} = 7

c) sampling distribution for samples of size 2

Sample size, n = 2

Possible samples of size 2 are (4,5),(4,7),(4,12),(5,7),(5,12),(7,12)

Sample means are:

\bar{x_1} = \dfrac{4+5}{2} = 4.5\\\\\bar{x_2} = \dfrac{4+7}{2} = 6.5\\\\\bar{x_3} = \dfrac{4+12}{2} = 8\\\\\bar{x_4} = \dfrac{5+7}{2} = 6\\\\\bar{x_5} = \dfrac{5+12}{2} = 8.5\\\\\bar{x_6} = \dfrac{7+12}{2} = 9.5

Thus, the list is 4.5, 6.5, 8, 6, 8.5, 9.5

d) mean of the sampling distribution

\bar{x} = \dfrac{4.5 + 6.5 + 8+ 6 + 8.5+ 9.5}{6} = \dfrac{43}{6} = 7.167
