The sum of the interior angles of a triangle (half the rhombus in this case) is 180. Because of the properties of a rhombus, z and x will be equal to each other. Therefore, 124 + z + z = 180.
124 + z + z = 180
124 + 2z = 180
2z = 56
z = 28
Thus, z is equal to 28.

The sum of the reciprocals of two consecutive even integers is 3/4<br> Find the two integers.

\Large{ \underline{ \underline{ \bf{ \orange{Solution:}}}}}

Let one of those even numbers be x, Then other even number would be x + 2.

<u>According</u><u> </u><u>to</u><u> </u><u>question</u><u>,</u>

⇛ Their reciprocal add upto 3/4

<u>So</u><u>,</u><u> </u><u>we</u><u> </u><u>can</u><u> </u><u>write</u><u> </u><u>it</u><u> </u><u>as</u><u>,</u>

⇛ 1/x + 1/x + 2 = 3/4

⇛ x + 2 + x / x(x + 2) = 3/4

⇛ 2x + 2 / x² + 2x = 3/4

<u>Cross</u><u> </u><u>multiplying</u><u>,</u>

⇛ 3(x² + 2x) = 4(2x + 2)

⇛ 3x² + 6x = 8x + 8

⇛ 3x² - 2x - 8 = 0

⇛ 3x² - 6x + 4x - 8 = 0

⇛ 3x(x - 2) + 4(x - 2) = 0

⇛ (3x + 4)(x - 2) = 0

Then, x = -4/3 or 2

☃️ It can't be -4/3 because it is fraction and negative number. So, x = 2

Then, x + 2 = 4

✤ <u>So</u><u>,</u><u> </u><u>The</u><u> </u><u>even</u><u> </u><u>numbers</u><u> </u><u>are</u><u> </u><u>2</u><u> </u><u>and</u><u> </u><u>4</u><u>.</u>

PLEASE HELP ; I need help on this ? I am confused .

256,000-2.56*100,000
Since there are 6 digits in 256,000, it is 2.56*100,000 becuase 100,000 also has 6 digits.
2.56*100,000=2.56*10^5
Since there are 5 zeroes in 100,000, it is 10^5.
256,000=2.56*100,000=2.56*10^5
First box: 100,000
Second box: 5

Write an equation to convert a diamond's weight in carats to its weight in milligrams. Be sure to define your variables.
kolbaska11 [484]
Carats, known as ct, is a measure of weight used for gemstones.One carat is equal to 1/5 of a gram (200 milligrams). Stones are measured to the nearest hundredth of a carat. So, the equation would be as follows:

m = c x 200

where m is the mass in units of milligrams and c is the weight in units of carats.

Hope this helped. Have a nice day.
