y all of their candy. Christov initially had 300 pieces of candy, and after he was visited by 17 children, he had 249 pieces left. The number of remaining pieces of candy Mateus had as function of the number of children who visited him is given by the following function: C(n)=270-3n. Answer: 1) Both Christov and Mateus gave same number of candies to each child.

2) Christov gave candy to a greater number of children.

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Since, both have the same rate of distribution,

Therefore, Both will give same number of candies to each child.

2) Here, the initial number of candies Christov has 300

C(n)=270 - 3 n

Initially, n = 0

C(0) = 270

⇒ The initial number of candies Mateus has 270.

Since, 300 > 270

Therefore, Christov has more candies than Mateus,

Also, both have the same rate of distribution,

⇒ Christov gave candy to more children than Mateus.

⇒  Christov gave candy to a greater number of children.

2(6x + 1) - 4(x - 5) = -2
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

x=−3

Step-by-step explanation:

2(6x+1)−4(x−5)=−2

Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.

2(6x+1)−4(x−5)=−2

(2)(6x)+(2)(1)+(−4)(x)+(−4)(−5)=−2(Distribute)

12x+2+−4x+20=−2

(12x+−4x)+(2+20)=−2(Combine Like Terms)

8x+22=−2

8x+22=−2

Step 2: Subtract 22 from both sides.

8x+22−22=−2−22

8x=−24

Step 3: Divide both sides by 8.

8x/8=−24/8
