Unemployment saw a decrease in the United States during the 1950s.

During that period of time, the government of the United States began dealing with and reducing unemployment. Unemployment saw a great increase with The Great Depression which took place in the early 1930s. It peaked to 23.6%. As I mentioned before prosperity arrived in the 1950s but it rose again in the 1970s.
