Hey there!

The word "difference" means 'SUBTRACT' in mathematical terms. Now that we know the definition we could solve for this equation!

New equation: "55.4 - 4.11 = ?"

55.4 - 4.11 = 51.29

Thus, your answer is: 51.29

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!

Effectus [21]
To get the answer we have to divide 16 yards by 2/3. When we are trying to divide number by fraction we can multiply that number by inverse of that fraction. Lets do this
16: \frac{2}{3} =16* \frac{3}{2}= \frac{16*3}{2} = \frac{48}{2}=48:2=24 - its the answer

The diagonals of parallelogram JKLM below intersect at point (2, 5). If K is located at (8, 7), what are the coordinates of poin
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

<h3>A (-4,3)</h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

THe formula for calculating midpoint is expressed as;

M(X, Y) = {(x1+x2/2), y1+y2/2}

Given

Midpoint = (2, 5)

K = (8, 7)

Required

Coordinate of M

X = x1+x2/2

2 = 8+x2/2

4 = 8+x2

x2 = 4-8

x2 = -4

Similarly;

Y = y1+y2/2

5 = 7+y2/2

10 = 7+y2

y2 = 10-7

y2 = 3

Hence the coordidates of M is at (-4,3)

At Brian’s Bookstore, 0.3 of the shelves hold mysteries, 25% of the shelves hold travel book and 7/20 of the shelves hold childr
elena-s [515]

Children books covers the most shelf space in the store

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

From given,

Shelves that hold Mysteries = 0.3

Shelves hold travel book = 25 %

Shelves hold children’s books = \frac{7}{20}

To find: Type of book that covers the most shelf space in the store

You cannot compare values which are in different forms, so you need to convert.

Let us convert the given values into decimal form

Shelves hold travel book = 25 %

Percentage can be converted to decimal by dividing by 100

\rightarrow 25\% = \frac{25}{100} = 0.25

Shelves hold children’s books = \frac{7}{20}

\rightarrow \frac{7}{20} = 0.35

<em><u>Which type of book covers the most shelf space in the store?</u></em>

Now we have converted them into decimal form

Shelves that hold Mysteries = 0.3

Shelves hold travel book = 0.25

Shelves hold children’s books = 0.35

0.35>0.3>0.25

We can clearly see that, 0.35 is the highest decimal

Therefore, children books covers the most shelf space in the store

Find the zero of the function by rewriting the function in intercept form
Marat540 [252]
Given a quadratic function
y = 4x² - 19x - 5
or i will write it as
4x² - 19x - 5 = y

Zero of the function is when y have the value of zero.
So the quadratic equation will be
4x² - 19x - 5 = y
4x² - 19x - 5 = 0

Now make the equation to intercept form by factorization
4x² - 19x - 5 = 0
(4x + 1)(x - 5) = 0   (this is intercept form)

Solution 1
4x + 1 = 0
4x = -1
x = -1/4

Solution 2
x - 5 = 0
x = 5

SUMMARY
-1/4 and 5 are zero function of f(x) = 4x² - 19x - 5
