Area of triangle is 1/2 * base * height.
we can turn this into a right triangle to get the height by saying the base is 5 and the hypotenuse of right triangle is 4. now to get the height we can use sine.
sin(a) = opposite/hypotenuse
sin (79) = x/4
x = 3.92

area = 1/2 * 3.92 * 5
area = 9.8

Which set of ordered pairs is not a functions?
Anit [1.1K]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

X values cannot repeat in a function, 3 is used as an X value twice in A, and therefore cannot be a function.

If this is graphed, you can use the vertical line test, if a vertical line on any point goes through other points, it is not a function.

In this case, just check if X repeats.

Please actually answer this it has a good amount of points!
Vanyuwa [196]

The answer is D, "No, because two points with the same x-value have different y-values."

Essentially, there cannot be more than one point on the same x-line. Point (2, 11) and point (2, 2) are on the same x-line, which is 2.

Hope this helps!

I need help ASAP!!!!!
ycow [4]

Input Data :

Point 1 ( x A , y A )  = (-6, -2)

Point 2 ( x B , y B )  = (1, -6)

Objective :

Find the distance between two given points on a line.

Formula :

Distance between two points =  √ ( x B − x A )2 + ( y B − y A ) 2

Solution :

Distance between two points =  √ ( 1 - -6 ) 2 + ( − 6 − − 2 ) 2

=  √ 7 2 + ( − 4 ) 2

=  √ 49 + 16

= √ 65  = 8.0623

Distance between points (-6, -2) and (1, -6) is 8.0623

Or 8.

Best of luck!!
