The territory gained in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo is also known as the Mexican Cession. The reason the US was able to gain this land from Mexico was due to their military victory in the Mexican-American War. This treaty gave the United States several different modern day states including California, Arizona, New Mexico, and parts of Colorado/Utah. This treaty helped America spread their influence/power during the middle of the 19th century.

What were the Committees of Correspondence and the Boston Tea Party and explain how they were, in part, a reaction to the Boston
Viktor [21]

Answer:

The Committees of Correspondence were the American colonies’ means for maintaining communication lines in the years before the Revolutionary War. In 1764, Boston formed the earliest Committee of Correspondence to encourage opposition to Britain’s stiffening of customs enforcement and prohibition of American paper money. The following year, New York formed a similar committee to keep the other colonies notified of its actions in resisting the Stamp Act. In 1773, the Virginia House of Burgesses proposed that each colonial legislature appoint a committee for intercolonial correspondence. The exchanges that followed built solidarity during the turbulent times and helped bring about the formation of the First Continental Congress in 1774.

Discuss the domestic and foreign policies of the presidents of the 1920's
Bess [88]
Harding, Coolidge, and Hoover were the presidents during the 1920s. The demand and mantra of the 1920s was a "return to normalcy". The goal of this period was to stay out of world affairs as Americans felt slighted by the impact of World War I as well as return to the economic polices of the Gilded Age. Domestically, these presidents instituted immigrant restrictions, removal of Progressive Era economic regulations, and a laissze-faire approach to the economy and government. Foreign policy included refusal to accept the Treaty of Versailles and to join the League of Nations. All treaties that took place were in an effort to remove the US from alliances and threats of war.
