52 + 47 + 65 + 43 + 51 = 258 ÷ 5 = 51.6

(subtract 51.6 with the same numbers {the listed numbers} or the so called "data set")

51.6 - 52 = 0.4

51.6 - 47 = 4.6

51.6 - 65 = 13.4

51.6 - 43 = 8.6

51.6 - 51 = 0.6

(add up all the difference then divide them by 5 again)

0.4 + 4.6 + 13.4 + 8.6 + 0.6 = 27.6 ÷ 5 = 5.52

so the MAD is 5.52!
