(divide it by 5 since there are 5 numbers listed)

52 + 47 + 65 + 43 + 51 = 258 ÷ 5 = 51.6

(subtract 51.6 with the same numbers {the listed numbers} or the so called "data set")

51.6 - 52 = 0.4

51.6 - 47 = 4.6

51.6 - 65 = 13.4

51.6 - 43 = 8.6

51.6 - 51 = 0.6

(add up all the difference then divide them by 5 again)

0.4 + 4.6 + 13.4 + 8.6 + 0.6 = 27.6 ÷ 5 = 5.52

so the MAD is 5.52!

What does dimensions of the entire figure mean
Sveta_85 [38]
I'm assuming the dimensions are like the measures of whatever the figure is. Volume, length, width, height, circumference, radius, diameter, area, perimeter, etc. whatever you are working with, that will help you find the dimensions of the figure:)

The ordered pairs (4,5) and (4,-5) are reflected points. Are the locations of these points reflected on the y or the x axis?
My name is Ann [436]

The two coordinates' x variables are the same, while the y variables change. This means that it is reflected over the x axis. Reflecting over the y axis would cause a change in the x variable, as it would have to move sideways, so this can't be the case since the x variable stays as 4 even after the reflection.

The points L(10,9)L(10,9), M(10,-5)M(10,-5), N(-1,-5)N(-1,-5), and O(-1,9)O(-1,9) form rectangle LMNOLMNO. Which point is halfwa
Inessa [10]
You are trying to find the halfway point between OO and NN.
OO: (-1,9)    NN: (-1,5)
The x-coordinate does not change, because in both instances it is -1. The y-coordinate is (9-5)/2 AWAY from each point. AKA the number that is equidistant from 5 and 9 (7).

A class of 260 students went on a field trip. They took 12 vehicles, some cars and some buses. Find the number of cars and the n
Afina-wow [57]
The equation is 5c+25b=260 when c+b=12. rearrange that into 12-b=c. substitute and you get 5(12-b)+25b=260. b=10. 12-10=2, so 10 buses and 2 cars were used as transportation for the field trip.
