I think Japan has a high life expectancy comparing to other countries because of their lifestyle. Say, you're comparing Japan to the United States. In the United States, there are many fast food restaurants around and people don't have the best diets. Meanwhile in Japan, their health habits are more healthier. Japanese people seem to have a healthy figure from the different health lifestyle they have. Another thing, Japanese people seem to be more fit than Americans. In Japan, there are many dancers and people who are fit everyday. Therefore, in the United States, people do go to gyms, but not too many people. Many Americans do not exercise as regularly as they should, leading to obesity and chances of disease, such as heart disease. Another reason is that Japan seems to care about their health, taking care of it. While Americans do care about health, the majority of Americans would rather not break a sweat.
