Answer:

-8x^2 - 20

Step-by-step explanation:

(f o g) means (f(g(x)), so let's find that out first

(f(g(x)) means we use the expression from g(x) and insert it into f as x in f(x)

f(x) = 2x-1

(f(g(x)) = 2(x^2 + 3) -1

(f(g(x)) = 2x^2 + 6 - 1 = 2x^2 + 5

now we need to multiple (f o g) by -4

(2x^2 + 5) * (- 4)

-8x^2 - 20

Doreen has $20. She wants to buy a pair of earrings that costs $7.58 and a necklace that costs &13.36. Does Doreen have enou
Mariana [72]
Hi!

To solve this, we need to know how much the earrings and necklace cost together, then we need to know if it's more or less than how much she has ($20)

So first, add the costs together.

     7 . 5 8
+ 1 3 . 3 6
---------------
   2 0 . 9 4

The necklace and earrings cost $20.94 which is more than $20.

The answer is no, Doreen does not have enough money.

Hope this helps! :)

Mrac [35]

\bf \textit{using the pythagorean theorem} \\\\ c^2=a^2+b^2\implies c=\sqrt{a^2+b^2} \qquad \begin{cases} c=hypotenuse\\ a=adjacent\\ b=opposite\\ \end{cases} \\\\\\ c=\sqrt{4^2+7^2}\implies c=\sqrt{65}
