A compound is a substance formed when two or more chemical elements are chemically bonded together

An element is a substance whose atoms all have the same number of protons: another way of saying this is that all of a particular element's atoms have the same atomic number. Elements are chemically the simplest substances and hence cannot be broken down using chemical reactions.

A molecule is an electrically neutral group of two or more atoms held together by chemical bonds. Molecules are distinguished from ions by their lack of electrical charge.

An atom a fundamental piece of matter. ... An atom itself is made up of three tiny kinds of particles called subatomic particles: protons, neutrons, and electrons. The protons and the neutrons make up the center of the atomcalled the nucleus and the electrons fly around above the nucleus in a small cloud.

Compound-two or more chemically combined elements

Element-any substance that cannot be broken down into simpler substances

Molecule-a group of atoms bonded together, representing the smallest fundamental unit of a chemical compound that can take part in a chemical reaction

Atom-the basic unit of a chemical element

A frog is able to leap away from a snake because danger is sensed and responded to by OA. the immune system O B. the nervous sys
Anna11 [10]

Answer:

B. the nervous system

Explanation:

The nervous system is one of the body systems that has to do with the passing signal information to and fro the BRAIN and other sensory organs e.g eyes, nose, ears etc. The nervous system is what causes an individual organism to sense and respond to environmental stimuli by passing chemical signals to the brain and back to the site of effect.

According to this question, a frog is able to leap away from a snake because danger is sensed and responded to by the NERVOUS SYSTEM. Information in form of chemical signals (impulses) are passed across the brain of the animal of a possible threat, which then sends back information for the frog to react to such danger by leaping away.

What technique is used to separate the different cell parts? Select one: a. all of the above b. microscopy c. cell fractionation
enot [183]

Answer:

The correct answer is c. cell fractionation

Explanation:

Cell fractionation is the technique which allows different cells part to be separated from each other on the basis of their density gradient by using a centrifuge.

In cell fractionation, first the cell wall and membrane of cells are broken by chemical, physical or mechanical method. Then the cell component can be separated by centrifuging them at different rpm.

Components that have higher density can be found in the bottom and the light density can be found on top of the tube. Therefore the correct answer is c. cell fractionation.
