Roosevelt's speech for his audience was mainly for them understand what the war was doing to them in the nation. And apparently the people had different opinions about the war which raised a huge question: <span>When will America start helping nations such as Great Britain? </span> And roosevelt won them over by helping them understand that he shouldn't lead them to a war that they didn't need.
