Answer:

300 dimes and 120 quarters

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the number of dimes and y be the number of quarters Travis has. Travis has $60 (6000 cents) in dimes and quarters, then

10x+25y=6000.

If he could switch the numbers of dimes with the number of quarter, he would have y dimes and x quarters. In total this amount of money is $87 (8700 cents), then

10y+25x=8700.

Solve the system of two equations:

\left\{\begin{array}{l}10x+25y=6000\\ \\10y+25x=8700\end{array}\right.\Rightarrow \left\{\begin{array}{l}2x+5y=1200\\ \\2y+5x=1740\end{array}\right..

Multiply the 1st equation by 5, the 2nd equation by 2 and subtract them:

\left\{\begin{array}{l}10x+25y=6000\\ \\10x+4y=3480\end{array}\right.\Rightarrow 21y=2520,\ y=120.

Then

2x+5\cdot 120=1200,\\ \\2x=1200-600,\\ \\2x=600,\\ \\x=300.

What is the answer to <br>2x+3=4x+6-(2x+3)
Grace [21]

I am still learning, and am most likely incorrect.

I believe you remove the 3's since their not needed, and do this:

2x = 4x + 6 - (2x)

so then just ignore "x" and do this:

2 = 4 + 6 - 2

2 = 10 - 2

2 = 8

x = 8

polet [3.4K]

The answer is: The Area command.

The explanation is shown below:

1. The Area command is a very useful command in AutoCad, and you can use it to calculate  the area and the perimeter of a closed region draw with a polyline.

2. To use this command, you only need to type AREA and press the enter button. Then, you must select the points of the closed region and press enter again. Once you do this, the software will show you the perimeter and the area.

Answer:

simple interest :90

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Multiply 450 with the interest rate which is 0.05 so that equal 22.5

Step 2: Multiply the 22.5 with the 4 years

So Multiply principal with the interest rate with the time
