Step 1. Type it into a Google search box or calculator. (You need to use a calculator anyway.) The result is 3177 4/9.

If you're doing this according to the Order of Operations, you do the multiplication and division left to right. This means the first calculation you do is
  255/6 = 42.5
Next, you multiply by 672
  42.5*672 = 28560
Then divide by 9
  28560/9 = 3173 3/9

You continue by doing the division
  37/9 = 4 1/9

And finish by adding the two results
  3173 3/9 + 4 1/9 = 3174 4/9

_____
If you're doing this by hand, you can recognize the first term as the product of two fractions, so is the product of numerators divided by the product of denominators.
  (255*672)/(6*9)
Using your knowledge of divisibility rules, you can do the division 672/6 to simplify this to
  (255*112)/9
Now, the first term and the second term have the same denominator, so you can add the numerators before you do the division.
  (255*112 + 37)/9 = (28560 + 37)/9 = 28597/9
You end up having to do only two simple divisions, rather than 3 of them.
  28597/9 = 3177 4/9

⚠️❗️What is the volume of the regular pyramid below?
4vir4ik [10]

So the equation for the volume of the pyramid is V=\frac{lwh}{3} . Using the info on the pyramid, we can form the equation V=\frac{12*12*71}{3}

Firstly, multiply everything on the numerator to get V=\frac{10224}{3}

Next, just divide by 3, and your answer will be V=3408

In short, the volume is 3408 un^3, or the first option.

Find the circumference of a circle whose<br>area is 49pi sq units.
sergij07 [2.7K]
Circumference of a Circle,C=2πr

π=3.14
r= of the circle

Area of the circle= πr²

We know that
Area= 49 π²

πr²=49

r²=49/π
=49/3.14
=15.60
r= √15.60
=3.9 units

Circumference of a Circle,C=2πr
=2*3.14*3.9
=24.492 units

What constant do you need to add to each quadratic to complete the square?
babunello [35]

Answer:

1. 4

2. 16

3. 9

Step-by-step explanation:

Completing the square requires a quadratic in ax^2+bx=c form. Once in this form, calculate (\frac{b}{2})^2.

1. (\frac{b}{2})^2=(\frac{-4}{2})^2=4

2. (\frac{b}{2})^2=(\frac{-8}{2})^2=16

3. Requires you divide everything by 3 first.

\frac{3x^2+18x}{3} =\frac{249}{3} \\x^2+6x=81

(\frac{b}{2})^2=(\frac{6}{2})^2=9
