Sydney wants to explain the concept of the axial skeleton and the appendicular skeleton. If she uses an analogy of a coat rack,
Svet_ta [14]

The human skeleton can be divided in 2 parts: axial and appendicular skeleton. The axial skeleton is composed by the skull, spine and ribs. The appendicular skeleton refers to the limbs (both arms and legs).

Using the metaphor of the coat rack, the axial skeleton would be the central pole of the rack and the appendicular skeleton would be both the pieces where you hang the coats and the feet or base of the coat rack.

Individuals III-3 and III-4 are expecting their first child when they become aware that they both have a family history of this
ad-work [718]

The genealogy tree which is missing from the question is in the attachment.

Answer: 1) P1 = \frac{1}{2}; 2) P2 = \frac{1}{2}; 3)P3 = \frac{1}{16}

Explanation: 1) According to the genealogy tree, the individual III-3 has a P1 = 1/2, because each of the parents are heterozygous for the condition, since one of the ofspring is affected.

2) For individual III-4, one of the parents is heterozygous for the condition, so the probability of being a carrier is P2 = 1/2.

3) Now, for individual IV-1 be affected, the parents has to be carrier. So, this probability, depends on the probability of each parent being heterozygous and that the individual will be carrying the condition, which means:

P3 = 1/2 · 1/2 · 1/4 = 1/16.

The probability of having the condition is 1/16 or 6.25%.

How might a second-born son hope to achieve success under the system of primogeniture?
Inessa05 [86]

The correct answer is:

B.) He could seek training to become a knight in the military

Explanation:

In the system of primogeniture, the oldest son receives from the parents (that is, usually the father).  That means that other sons have to look for "luck" in other places. This normally meant being accepted to be a knight (and hope to start a new family line) or, more infrequently, converting a priest and begging for a career in the church.

Metaphase----the chromosomes migrate to the central plane of the cell and attach to the spindle fibres microtubules

Anaphase---the chromatids of each chromosomes part and move towards opposite poles of the spindle as the spindle fibres shorten

Telophase----the chromatids are in the polar end of the spindle .the spindle breaks down,the centrioles replicate,the nuclear membrane is reformed,the chromosomes gradually uncoil.
