Answer:

104,000

Explanation:

The computation of diluted earnings per share for the quarter is shown below:-

Particulars                                                    Shares

Proceeds from exercise of options a         $126,000

(18,000 × $7)

Used to repurchase of common stock b    $14,000

( $126,000 ÷ $9)

Number of shares if option is exercised c  18,000

Less: Shares assume repurchased d           14,000

Potential Diluted common shares (e = c-d)  4,000

Add: Number of common shares f               100,000

Number of shares diluted earning per share 104,000

(e + f)

So, to reach the Number of shares diluted earning per share we simply add number of number of common shares with potential diluted common shares.

A company purchased a new delivery van at a cost of $61,000 on July 1. The delivery van is estimated to have a useful life of 5
faust18 [17]

it's half a year out of 5, so 1/10 of the useful lifetime of the van

$61,000 - $4,900 is $56.1000

one tenth of that will be what we are looking for, so option b. should be just right to fit here

STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:

A. the risk of wind damage is potentially diversifiable, but the risk of flooding is not

Explanation:

Based on the scenario being described it can be said that the best explanation for these different approaches would be that the risk of wind damage is potentially diversifiable, but the risk of flooding is not. Meaning that  most insurance companies cover wind damage because it is most likely during a hurricane but flooding may be a unique situation which is not always covered by most insurance companies/policies.
