History

The Soviet Union tried to dominate Eastern Europe, including constructing the Berlin Wall, in order to spread their political power and influence. After World War II, the Soviet Union and the US emerged as global superpowers with two very different ideas on how a country should be run. The US supported the idea of a capitalist society while the Soviet Union supported a communist society.

To spread this idea of communism and to gain resources, the Soviet Union continued to spread their power and control of countries in Eastern Europe during the Cold War era. This "iron curtain" that developed ensured that communism and the Soviet Union's allies would have the ability to stand against America and its allies, should their be a military conflict between the two countries.

The Soviet Union was a state qualified as totalitarian, modeled by a leader who had all the powers, and was interested in achieving the domination of Eastern Europe, including the construction of the Berlin Wall.

The Berlin Wall was built when the western zone began to prosper while the Soviet side suffered economic problems. This, caused millions of Berliners who lived under the communist regime to migrate to West Berlin.

With which the Soviet Union was losing its long-awaited desire for dominion and power.

How effective was the roving attack on the British after Concord?
Eva8 [605]

Answer:

For the British, 73 were killed, 174 were wounded, and 26 were missing. While the colonists lost many minutemen, the Battles of Lexington and Concord were considered a major military victory and displayed to the British and King George III that unjust behavior would not be tolerated in America.

Explanation:

The first battle of the war, Lexington marked the beginning of the American Revolution. Although Lexington and Concord were considered British military victories, they gave a moral boost to the American colonists. On the night of April 18, 1775, hundreds of British troops marched from Boston to nearby Concord in order to seize an arms cache. Paul Revere and other riders sounded the alarm, and colonial militiamen began mobilizing to intercept the Redcoat column.
