Perpendicular lines are connected, and form two 90º angles. Although they connect, they do not necessarily have to "cross over" each other. Intersecting lines, on the other hand, must cross over each other to form 4 angles. Note that the angles between intersecting lines do not have to be 90º.
Think of perpendicular lines like a Upper case T
Think of intersecting likes like an addition sign: +

Similarities: Both sets of lines create angles, and in both sets the two lines are connected in some way
Differences: Perpendicular lines ALWAYS form 90º angles, but intersecting lines don't have to.

Hope this helps!

. If y varies directly with x when y = -4 and x = 10, determine y when x = 2. Write and equation for the direct variation and de
taurus [48]

Answer:

y = - 0.8

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that y varies directly with x then the equation relating them is

y = kx ← k is the constant of variation

To find k use the condition when y = - 4, x = 10, then

- 4 = 10k ( divide both sides by 10 )

- 0.4 = k

y = - 0.4x ← equation of variation

When x = 2 , then

y = - 0.4 × 2 = - 0.8

HELP PLEASE HELP SOMEONE PLEASE HELP 10POINTS !!!!!!! ASAP
vampirchik [111]

Answer:

A. 2y = 22

Step-by-step explanation:

You are basically combining like terms. Look at the equation and subtract from top to bottom.

You will subtract 5x and 5x, 4y and 2y, and 25 and 3.

Now you have 0 + 2y = 22.

Removing the 0 (because it is worth nothing), you will be left with 2y = 22 which corresponds to A.
