Answer:

specific volume by ideal gas equation = 0.01917 m³/kg

specific volume by compressibility chart = 0.01246 m³/kg

specif volume by super heated stream table is 0.0114810 m³/kg

Explanation:

given data

temperature  T = 350°C = 623 K

pressure P = 15 MPa = 15000 kPa

to find out

specific volume by  ideal-gas equation ,generalized compressibility chart and steam tables

solution

we will apply here ideal gas equation that is

specific volume = \frac{R*T}{P}   ..............1

here P is pressure and T is temperature and R is gas constant i.e 0.4615 kJ/kg-K

specific volume =  \frac{0.4615*623}{15000}

specific volume = 0.01917 m³/kg

and

by the compressibility chart

critical pressure of water Pcr = 22.06 Mpa

and critical temperature of water Tcr = 647.1 K

so

reduced pressure will be = \frac{P}{Pcr}

reduced pressure = \frac{15}{22.06} = 0.68 Mpa

and

reduced temperature will be = \frac{T}{Tcr}

reduced pressure = \frac{623}{647.1} = 0.963 K

so by compressibility chart pressure 0.68 Mpa and temperature 0.963 K

compressibility factor Z is 0.65

so

specific volume = compressibility factor Z × ideal specific volume

specific volume = 0.65 × 0.01917

specific volume = 0.01246 m³/kg

and

by the steam table

use here super heated stream table for

pressure = 15 Mpa

ans temperature = 350°C

so

specif volume by super heated stream table is 0.0114810 m³/kg

Why less irrigation facilities in Telangana state give reasons
Paul [167]

Answer:

The irrigation area is less in Telangana because of drought conditions, uncertain rains, inadequate irrigation facilities, and lack of groundwater. 84% of agricultural land depends on borewell irrigation but just about 10% of arable land irrigated by canals and 4% of land depends on tanks.

Two concentric helical compression springs made of steel and having the same length when loaded and when unloaded are used to su
Andrews [41]

Answer:

see explaination for all the answers and full working.

Explanation:

deflection=8P*DN/Gd^4

G(for steel)=70Gpa=70*10^9N/m^2=70KN/mm^2

for outer spring,

deflection=8*3*50^3*5/(70*9^4)=32.66mm

for inner spring

deflection=8*3*30^3*10/(70*5^4)=148.11mm

max stress=k*8*P*C/(3.14*d^2)

for outer spring

c=50/9=5.55

k=(4c-1/4c-4)+.615/c=1.2768

max stress=1.2768*8*3*5.55/(3.14*9^2=.66KN.mm^2

for inner spring

c=6

k=1.2525

max stress=2.29KN/mm^2

Which of the following material properties varies with temperature? a)- density b)- viscosity c)- electrical resistance d)- all
Reil [10]

Answer:

(d) all of the above

Explanation:

Effect on the density of temperature: If we increase the temperature of any room then particles of the room moves and to and fro and so density is decrease

Effect on the viscosity  of temperature : viscosity is inversely proportional to the temperature if we increase the temperature viscosity decreases and if we decrease the temperature viscosity increases.

Effect on the resistance of temperature : For metals if we increase the temperature then resistance increases and for semiconductor if we increase the temperature resistance decreases

So from above discussion all the parameter depends on the temperature so option (d( will be the correct option

NASA scientists have determined that the chance a single person would get hit by a piece of falling satellite is one in 3,200. What can you infer based on this probability?

A. Satellites that enter Earth’s atmosphere land mostly in the ocean.

B. NASA does a good job informing people of when satellites will enter the atmosphere.

C. Satellites that enter Earth’s atmosphere land mostly in unpopulated areas.

D. Much of a satellite is destroyed during the process of entering Earth’s atmosphere.
