Answer:

specific volume by ideal gas equation = 0.01917 m³/kg

specific volume by compressibility chart = 0.01246 m³/kg

specif volume by super heated stream table is 0.0114810 m³/kg

Explanation:

given data

temperature  T = 350°C = 623 K

pressure P = 15 MPa = 15000 kPa

to find out

specific volume by  ideal-gas equation ,generalized compressibility chart and steam tables

solution

we will apply here ideal gas equation that is

specific volume = \frac{R*T}{P}   ..............1

here P is pressure and T is temperature and R is gas constant i.e 0.4615 kJ/kg-K

specific volume =  \frac{0.4615*623}{15000}

specific volume = 0.01917 m³/kg

and

by the compressibility chart

critical pressure of water Pcr = 22.06 Mpa

and critical temperature of water Tcr = 647.1 K

so

reduced pressure will be = \frac{P}{Pcr}

reduced pressure = \frac{15}{22.06} = 0.68 Mpa

and

reduced temperature will be = \frac{T}{Tcr}

reduced pressure = \frac{623}{647.1} = 0.963 K

so by compressibility chart pressure 0.68 Mpa and temperature 0.963 K

compressibility factor Z is 0.65

so

specific volume = compressibility factor Z × ideal specific volume

specific volume = 0.65 × 0.01917

specific volume = 0.01246 m³/kg

and

by the steam table

use here super heated stream table for

pressure = 15 Mpa

ans temperature = 350°C

so

specif volume by super heated stream table is 0.0114810 m³/kg

A block of ice weighing 20 lb is taken from the freezer where it was stored at -15"F. How many Btu of heat will be required to c
Rus_ich [418]

Answer:

Heat required =7126.58 Btu.

Explanation:

Given that

Mass m=20 lb

We know that

1 lb =0.45 kg

So 20 lb=9 kg

m=9 kg

Ice at -15° F and we have to covert it at 200° F.

First ice will take sensible heat at up to 32 F then it will take latent heat at constant temperature and temperature will remain 32 F.After that it will convert in water and water will take sensible heat and reach at 200 F.

We know that

Specific heat for ice C_p=2.03\ KJ/kg.K

Latent heat for ice H=336 KJ/kg

Specific heat for ice C_p=4.187\ KJ/kg.K

We know that sensible heat given as

Q=mC_p\Delta T

Heat for -15F to 32 F:

Q=mC_p\Delta T

Q=9\times 2.03(32+15) KJ

Q=858.69 KJ

Heat for 32 Fto 200 F:

Q=mC_p\Delta T

Q=9\times 4.187(200-32) KJ

Q=6330.74 KJ

Total heat=858.69 + 336 +6330.74 KJ

Total heat=7525.43 KJ

We know that 1 KJ=0.947 Btu

So   7525.43 KJ=7126.58 Btu

So heat required to covert ice into water is 7126.58 Btu.

Shows a closed tank holding air and oil to which is connected a U-tube mercury manometer and a pressure gage. Determine the read
damaskus [11]

Answer:

P_2-P_1=27209h

Explanation:

For pressure gage we can determine this by saying:

The closed tank with oil and air has a pressure of P₁ and the pressure of oil at a certain height in the U-tube on mercury is p₁gh₁. The pressure of mercury on the air in pressure gauge is p₂gh₂. The pressure of the gage is P₂.

P_1+p_1gh_1=p_2_gh_2+P_2

We want to work out P₁-P₂: Heights aren't given so we can solve it in terms of height: assuming h₁=h₂=h

P_1-P_2=p_1gh_1-p_2gh_2=(55)\cdot{32.2}h-845\cdot{32.2}h

P_2-P_1=27209h

Fictional Corp is looking at solutions for their new CRM system for the sales department. The IT staff already has a fairly heav
Oksi-84 [34.3K]

Answer:

SaaS

Explanation:

Software as a service (SaaS) is also called software on demand, it involves a third party that centrally hosts the software and provides it to the end user.

All aspects of hosting is handled by the third party: application, data, runtime, middleware, operating system, server, virtualization, storage and networking are all handled by the provider.

This is an ideal software service for Fictional corp, as there will be no need to hire additional IT staff to maintain the new CRM software.
