Answer:

They linked canals with the river.

Explanation:

In 1832, the government of Ohio dig canals about 309 miles and linked these canals with the Ohio River which speedup Ohio's economic growth because transportation system was improved and goods were easily transported to other countries. Transportation plays a vital role in the economy of a country if transportation is expensive so people avoid sending goods to other regions and less money was earned by the country due to less exports.

How did WW2 affect today
attashe74 [19]
Hello!

WW2 affected "today" and the way we live in many ways. I'll list a few examples of how it did so below:

• WW2 gave us the word "genocide".

That's right! The word was invented by a Polish-German guy named Raphael Lemkin in 1944. That is the term he used for that year. Until WW2, the word had not existed.

• WW2 gave us the first computer!

The Colossus was the first electronic, digital computer, and it was developed during WW2 by British Codebreakers. Guess we could thank them for our electronic devices!

• WW2 improved the Radar

It is because of radar technology that we are able to use microwaves and eat more conveniently. Also, the Titanic was found on the bottom of the ocean, all thanks to radar! The movie also exists just because of the radar, and WW2!

Why did the South claim that the federal government had broken its <br> contract with the states?
Natalija [7]

Answer:

Many maintain that the primary cause of the war was the Southern states' desire to preserve the institution of slavery. Others minimize slavery and point to other factors, such as taxation or the principle of States' Rights. Two major themes emerge in these documents: slavery and states' rights.
