In order to answer your question I'm going to use my mysterious ability to look into the future. You didn't attach the part of the story that talks about a treasure house. I think on the next page it's going to talk about putting a telescope in orbit above the atmosphere. And it's going to say that a telescope above the atmosphere is a treasure-house of new information that we can't see down here.

This simple incident struck a different chord of the poet’s mind and changed his view about life completely. So he thinks it is ironic that a crow not related to goodness did a good deed and evoked the sense of finding positive in negative situations. This small event led to the shift of the poet’s mood from hopelessness to hope.
