the song is about a relationship. one person is trying to make the relationship work and fight, but they never end up together because of timing and it ends up being awkward
I think i might be about someone ‘loving her to death’ in the sense that whoever loves the girl, loves her so much that they are hurting her, particularly in the line ‘ you would take all the blur out of her eyes to fill up the empt space’, they are hurting her, but thinking they are helping
