Answer:

The time of oil tanker will be 80 sec.

Explanation:

Given that,

He walks at 3 km/hour.

If the container ship is 100 m long, and travelling at 12 km/hour.

The distance will be 200 m.

We need to calculate the relative velocity

Using formula of relative velocity

v_{21}=v_{2}-v_{1}

Put the value into the formula

v_{21}=12-3

v_{21}=9\ km/h

The distance is 200 m.

We need to calculate the time

Using formula of time

v=\dfrac{d}{t}

t=\dfrac{d}{v}

Put the value into the formula

t=\dfrac{200}{9\times\dfrac{5}{18}}

t=80 sec

Hence, The time of oil tanker will be 80 sec.

If a 10% sucrose solution within a semipermeable sac causes the fluid volume in the sac to increase a given amount when the sac
guapka [62]
Osmosis is the net movement of water molecules through a semi-permeable memberane from a region of higher water potential to a region of lower water potential.

so in the first case, since 10% of sucrose solution has a lower water potential than the pure water, so water molecules will flow into the sac, causing the sac to increase in volume. note that sucrose molecules can't diffuse out since there's a semi-permeable membrane.

in the question, I'm not 100% sure what the "sac solution" is meant by, but I guess it's the solution inside the sac

so here if the sac sucrose is 20%, the concentration of water is larger in difference than the first time, so osmosis rate will increase.

but if the "sac solution" is meant by replacing the water of the first case, then the sac inside would have a higher water potential, as the sucrose concentration is more diluted. then the water molecules will flow from the sac back to the beaker or whatever container it is.

Write a paragraph (three to five sentences) to explain how your allocation of Marc and Julian's portfolio matches their investme
Murrr4er [49]

If a person has an investment goal of putting in $4000 in a business, then:

  • He would have to make a good budget and not to engage in actions that would sabotage this goal.

<h3>What is an Investment Goal?</h3>

This refers to the plans and objectives of a person as he is making investments of his capital or any other factor of production in a given venture.

With this in mind, we can see that if a person makes an investment plan, then it is only wise and practical that his spendings and allocation of resources is consistent with this investment plan.

Please note that your question is incomplete so I gave you a general overview to help you get a better understanding of the concept.

A desk is on sale for 38% off. The sale price is $527. What is the the regular price
Dahasolnce [82]

Well the Regular Price is the price before the sale was added. So here's the work that I would put in and in the end, just divide by (1 - 0.38).
Price x (1 - 0.38) = Sale Price (529)
Price x 0.62 = 529
Price = 529 / 0.62 = 853.23

$853.23 was the Regular Price

How are phospholipids positioned in the plasma membrane? HELP ASAP
Delvig [45]

Answer: All plasma membrane surfaces are hydrophilic. In comparison, because of the fatty acid tails, the interior of the membrane between its two surfaces is a hydrophobic or nonpolar region. The main fabric of the membrane is composed of two layers of phospholipid molecules. The hydrophilic or "water-loving" areas of these molecules are in contact with the aqueous fluid both inside and outside the cell. Hydrophobic, or water-hating molecules, tend to be non-polar.
