Jared needs 2.4 micrograms of vitamin B-12 each day. Today, Jared drank a serving of milk containing 0.44 micrograms of B-12 and

ate a lamb chop containing 1.224 micrograms of B-12. Which method can Jared use to find the number of micrograms of vitamin B-12 he still needs?

Answer:

0.736 micro grams.

Step-by-step explanation:

Jared needs 2.4 micro grams of vitamin B-12 each day.

Today, Jared drank a serving of milk containing = 0.44 micro grams of B-12

and he ate a lamb chop containing = 1.224 micro grams of B-12

Total consumption of  B-12 = 0.44 + 1.224 = 1.664 micro grams

To find the number of micro grams of vitamin B-12 he can use the method

He still need = Need B-12 (micro grams)  - consume B-12(micro grams)

He still need = 2.4 - 1.664 = 0.736 micro grams.

Jared still needs 0.736 micro grams vitamin B-12.

He can use addition by adding 0.44 and 1.224 together to see how much Vitamin B-12 (so far he has 1.664 in all.) he has right now. then he needs to subtract that amount (1.664) of B-12 he has from the amount of vitamin B-12 (2.4) he needs. That'll be 0.736 of vitamin B-12 he needs to reach the amount of B-12 he needs.

(cotx+cscx)/(sinx+tanx)
Butoxors [25]

Answer:   \bold{\dfrac{cot(x)}{sin(x)}}

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Convert everything to "sin" and "cos" and then cancel out the common factors.

\dfrac{cot(x)+csc(x)}{sin(x)+tan(x)}\\\\\\\bigg(\dfrac{cos(x)}{sin(x)}+\dfrac{1}{sin(x)}\bigg)\div\bigg(\dfrac{sin(x)}{1}+\dfrac{sin(x)}{cos(x)}\bigg)\\\\\\\bigg(\dfrac{cos(x)}{sin(x)}+\dfrac{1}{sin(x)}\bigg)\div\bigg[\dfrac{sin(x)}{1}\bigg(\dfrac{cos(x)}{cos(x)}\bigg)+\dfrac{sin(x)}{cos(x)}\bigg]\\\\\\\bigg(\dfrac{cos(x)}{sin(x)}+\dfrac{1}{sin(x)}\bigg)\div\bigg(\dfrac{sin(x)cos(x)}{cos(x)}+\dfrac{sin(x)}{cos(x)}\bigg)

\text{Simplify:}\\\\\bigg(\dfrac{cos(x)+1}{sin(x)}\bigg)\div\bigg(\dfrac{sin(x)cos(x)+sin(x)}{cos(x)}\bigg)\\\\\\\text{Multiply by the reciprocal (fraction rules)}:\\\\\bigg(\dfrac{cos(x)+1}{sin(x)}\bigg)\times\bigg(\dfrac{cos(x)}{sin(x)cos(x)+sin(x)}\bigg)\\\\\\\text{Factor out the common term on the right side denominator}:\\\\\bigg(\dfrac{cos(x)+1}{sin(x)}\bigg)\times\bigg(\dfrac{cos(x)}{sin(x)(cos(x)+1)}\bigg)

\text{Cross out the common factor of (cos(x) + 1) from the top and bottom}:\\\\\bigg(\dfrac{1}{sin(x)}\bigg)\times\bigg(\dfrac{cos(x)}{sin(x)}\bigg)\\\\\\\bigg(\dfrac{1}{sin(x)}\bigg)\times cot(x)}\qquad \rightarrow \qquad \dfrac{cot(x)}{sin(x)}

( this is my summer math homework, please help!)
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

Using proportions, the selling prices are given as follows:

1. $46.92.

2. $15.29.

3. $17.16.

4. $20,280.

<h3>What is a proportion?</h3>

A proportion is a fraction of a total amount, and the measures are related using a rule of three.

To find the selling prices, we have to multiply the original prices by either 1.02(2% sales tax) or 1.04(4% sales tax), hence they are given as follows:

  • 1. 46 x 1.02 = $46.92.
  • 2. 14.99 x 1.02 = $15.29.
  • 3. 16.50 x 1.04 = $17.16.
  • 4. 19500 x 1.04 = $20,280.
