The cyclone that stuck Myanmar (Burma) was a devastating one. It caused huge material damage, lot of life loss, and millions of people were displaced and without place to live because their homes got destroyed. It has been a full scale humanitarian disaster.

The United States were among the first countries to offer their help, both in goods and financial aid. This was not accepted by the government of Myanmar though. The government of this country has been keeping the country isolated from the world from quite some time, and despite the disaster it planned on continuing so and rejecting the aid.

The United States then appealed in the UN council in order to make a bigger pressure on the Myanmar government, so that it backs off and allows the foreign aid. The pressure was put upon the government of Myanmar, and eventually it softened its attitude and allowed for the United States and other countries to help the people. This was all done with assistance and constant military presence, but at least the United States managed to help the people of Myanmar with the pressure it put upon the government.

Please help me with this problem

Well, if you look at the ocean from a standing point of view, it's pretty flat and water is spread all around the surface. Because of this, most people would assume that ocean is just flat and smooth.

Thanks to the discovery of science, we're able to go down deep and learn that there is more to the ocean than we knew about. =)

Hope that helps! -UnicornFudge aka Nadia

How many provinces are completely or partially included between 50 N. and 60 N. latitude
Andreas93 [3]

There are seven provinces that are either entirely or partially located between 50 N and 60 N.

Explanation:

Canada is a vast country, in fact it is the second largest in the world. The country is located on high latitude, and more than half of its mainland territory is between the latitudes of 50 N and 60 N. The provinces are very large, and each of them is larger than big portion of the countries in the world. In the southern half of the country, the provinces tend to be arranged in an east to west manner, kind of by longitude.

  • There are ten provinces in Canada.
  • Seven out of the ten provinces are entirely or partially between the latitudes of 50 N and 60 N.
  • The provinces located between these latitudes are Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia.
  • The three other provinces, Nunavut, North West Territory, and Yukon Territory, are located further north, mostly between 60 N and 70 N.
