Accommodation

Further explanation

Why some birds cannot fly?

There are a number of factors that influence the flight phenomenon like natural selection, their feeding behavior and their habitat . As we know that birds have modifications according to their surrounding environment or their feeding behavior same matter is with penguins they live in an environment where they have to feed in water that’s why they swim rather than flying and their body is modified for swimming

Types of birds

 Flying birds

 Flightless birds

Flying birds are modified for flight its common example is sparrow

While flightless birds are either runners or swimmers like ostrich is modified for running and penguin for swimming.

Penguins

Petrels were ancestors of penguins and their wing were modified for aerial flight only latter on they give rise to diving petrels which were able for aerial fight as well as submarine flight and in last finally penguins evolved which are modified for submarine flight only.

Morphology and habitat of penguins

They are found in southern hemisphere. While some people think that they live in Antarctica only that is a wrong concept They are also called marine birds and like to live in cold climate. Their body is white and black in color and is modified for swimming. They are carnivorous and directly feed on fish which they capture from marine water.

You are carefully examining a living organism. Which of the following should convince you that the organism is acoelomate?
matrenka [14]

Muscular activity of its digestive system distorts the body wall should convince you that the organism is acoelomate.

Explanation:

An animal that does not have body cavity refers to an acoelomate. It is in contrast with the eucoelomates which are the animals that have body cavity. The acoelomate will not have a cavity which is filled with fluid between the digestive tract and the body. Hence there will be a distortion of body wall by the muscular activity of the digestive system.

Some of the examples of acoelomate are Cnidaria,Porifera , Platyhelminthes, Placozoa ,Gnathostomulida.Nemertina and Mesozoa. The presence of pseudocoelom in which the body cavity will not be lined by the mesodermal cells are the Pseudocoelomate.

What part of the female system is the usual site of fertilization of the ovulated oocyte?.
Paul [167]

Fertilization of the egg cell by the sperm usually takes place in the fallopian tube. The fertilized egg then travels to the uterus and implants in the endometrium.

What are fallopian tubes?

 • Fallopian tubes are also called oviducts or uterine tubes. It is the passage through which the egg enters the uterine cavity from the ovary.
 • Fallopian tubes are part of the reproductive tract. They have a smooth muscle wall, an inner mucous membrane, and an outer layer of loose supporting tissue (serosa).

Why does fertilization take place in the fallopian tubes?

The fallopian tube (oviduct) regulates fertilization through sperm induction and sperm hyperactivity. Sperm induction is achieved by rheotaxis, thermotaxis, and chemotaxis. Rheotaxis is caused by tubal fluid that creates a current flow from the tubal ampulla to the tubal isthmus.

Which one to choose ?(please tell me if u have trouble seeing)
Korolek [52]

Answer: Option (A) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

Beaches are the places which are part of shore of an ocean, sea, large river etc.

There are pebbles and sand at the shore of a beach. Waves of water in an ocean always change the ocean due to erosion and addition of sand.

It is the force acted by the wave that pushes or pull the sand in different directions every time the wave comes.

So we can conclude that the statement beaches are always changes due to factors such as waves adding and eroding sand best describes beaches.
