It is usually a rule that before a tenant settles in a house, it is mandatory to pay a security deposit. This is necessary because the collateral will cater form damages that occur to that house either willingly or unwillingly. However, this does not mean the money will not be returned to the owner upon moving out of the house, the security deposit should be refunded in full amount unless there are damages that were caused in the house and repair is needed. Security deposit is also used in cases when the tenant disappears without tress to withhold personal belongings in the house.
