A copy machine acquired with a cost of $1,410 has an estimated useful life of 4 years. It is also expected to have a useful oper
mafiozo [28]

Answer:

a. Straight-line method

Depreciation Expense for the first year: $333.75

b. Double-declining-balance method

Depreciation Expense for the first year: $667.5

c. Units-of-output method

Depreciation Expense for the first year: $450

Explanation:

a. Straight-line method

Depreciation Expense each year is calculated by following formula

Annual Depreciation Expense = (Cost of machine − Residual Value)/Useful Life = ($1,410 - $75)/4 = $333.75

Depreciation Expense for the first year: $333.75

b. Double-declining-balance method

Under the straight-line method, useful life is 4 years, so the asset's annual depreciation will be 25% of the Depreciable cost.

Depreciable cost = Total cost of machine - Residual value =  $1,410-$75 = $1.335

Under the double-declining-balance method the 25% straight line rate is doubled to 50% - multiplied times

Depreciation Expense for the first year = $1.335 x 50% = $667.5

c. Units-of-output method

Depreciation Expense per copy = (Cost of machine − Residual Value)/Life in Number of Units  = ($1,410 - $75)/13,350 = $0.1

Depreciation Expense for the first year = Depreciation Expense per copy x number of copies were made the first year = $0.1 x 4,500 = $450

Burruss Company developed a static budget at the beginning of the company's accounting period based on an expected volume of 8,0
katrin2010 [14]

Answer:

The flexible budget would show fixed costs of $16,000

Explanation:

Meaning of Fixed cost: The fixed cost is that cost which is not have any impact on production level. It means that if the production level is increase or decrease, the fixed cost remain constant.

In the question the following information is given ,

Expected volume - 8,000 units

Per unit Revenue -  $ 4.00

Variable costs [per unit - 1.50

Contribution margin per unit -  $ 2.50

Fixed costs per unit - 2.00

Net income per unit -  $ 0.50

Actual production - 10,000 units

For computing the fixed cost under flexible budget for actual production which produces 10,000 units. The fixed cost remain same.

So, For 8000 units, the fixed cost = Units × Fixed cost per unit

                                                        =  8000 units × 2.00

                                                        =$16,000

Hence, For 10,000 units, the fixed cost would be $16,000 as fixed cost remain same.

Thus, the flexible budget would show fixed costs of $16,000

What is a characteristic of Cloud computing?
Arisa [49]
Cloud computing services are paid for based on consumption. The business model is analogous to the utility, the rental car, or the hotel industries, where users don’t own any of the infrastructure (power/cars/rooms) and pay only for the services they consume on a monthly basis. Similar to the examples mentioned, cloud computing resources are available on-demand. That’s my three sentence synopsis of the business concept behind cloud computing, but I also see it as a technical change in the way IT resources are delivered and consumed.

Hope this helps!

mylen [45]

Answer:

Dustup forgot to the consumers if the add-on will give them more satisfaction from using their product.

Explanation:

The market is always king. Getting first-hand information about what consumers need and how they need it is the best way to go about creating a product or modifying an existing one to become more profitable.

The removal of the brochures from the bottles showed that shoppers didn't necessarily want their product. What they wanted was to be able to make contact with the company and get more information on how to revive their old wooden floors.

Cheers!
