Why not experiment?  Plot the point (2,7),  Then change the y-coordinate's sign:  (2,-7).  Plot this new point.  How did the location of (2.7) change when you changed the sign of the y-coordinate (7)?

Svetllana [295]

The notation of the above inequality:

-3

Can be written as an interval:

n\in(-3,1)

Or group of points on a line that satisfy the linear inequality.

n\in\mathbb{G}=\{n; -3

Or simply:

n\in\mathbb{G}=\{-2,-1,0\}

Hope this helps.
