In order to help the student expand his/her knowledge I will help answer the question. This in hope that the student will get a piece of knowledge that will help him through his homework or future tests.

The answer to your following question: According to Herbert Hoover, What would best help those devastated by the Great Depression?

It would be the voluntarism of individual and private charities. Herbert tried to stop workers from getting laid off or getting cut wages during this great depression. His ideal was for the people to rule over themselves through voluntary cooperation.

The establishment of unemployment insurance entails the opportunity of shooting a ‘’demand load’’ into the economy. By establishing such insurance, the beneficiaries would be likely to shop around and spend most of the funds provided, activating the economy virtuous circle. This circle was well studied and carried out by John Keynes, during his Economy Minister period (throughout the 30’s).
