Every point is translated according to the rule ( x, y ) → ( x + 2, y - 6 )
L ( -1, 2 ) → L´ ( -1 + 2,  2 - 6 ) = ( 1, -4 )

Answer:

The Coordinate of point L' is (1,-4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Trapezoid JKLM on the coordinate plane with ordered pairs

J(-6,5)

K(-3,5)

L(-1,2)

M(-8,2)

If trapezoid JKLM is translated according to the rule (x, y) → (x + 2, y − 6)

We need to find the coordinate of L'

L(-1,2)

(x, y) → (x + 2, y − 6)

Rule of translation: x-coordinate shift 2 unit right and y-coordinate shift 6 unit down.

    L → L'

(-1,2) → ( -1+2, 2-6)

(-1,2) → (1,-4)

Hence, The Coordinate of point L' is (1,-4)

Is this true or false 4/3 = 8/9

False. To make nine, you must multiply three by three. Four times three isn’t 8. An equivalent equation would be 4/3=12/9

A small lizard is five sixth inch long. A larger lizard is 6 and four fifths times larger. How long is the larger lizard?
Ulleksa [173]

Answer:

170/30 inches Larger Lizard

Step-by-step explanation:

Small lizard   5/6 inches long

Larger lizard 6 4/5 times (x) larger than the small lizard 5/6 inches long

Step 1. Try to make everything the same before doing anything else. You can do this by getting rid of the whole number in 6 4/5 :

Use the denominator of this equation 6(4/5 ), which is 5, with the whole number (6) and then the add the numerator (4) to it. Example,   5x6= 30,  30+4=34 ,   you now have   34/5  . Now it is the same as 5/6

Since the size of the larger lizard is 34/5 longer than the size of the small lizard, all you have to do is multiply the fractions together to get your answer;

                     (5/6) x (34/5)= Numerator 5x34=170 , Denominator 5x6=30

Your answer is: Numerator/Denominator   ===>    170/30

The larger lizard is 170/30 inches long or, 17/3 inches long.
