Why is the sunset red or orange?
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

According to the science magazine Scientific American, the sunset is reddish because, when the sun is setting, the light that reaches you has had to go through lots more atmosphere than when the sun is overhead, hence the only colour light that is not scattered away is the long wavelength light, the red.

Which organisms have the least amount of stored energy in an ecological pyramid
Alenkinab [10]

Answer

Tertiary Consumers get least amount of the energy.

Explanation

In an ecological pyramid less energy is available to organisms in the upper level because each organism releases some of the chemical energy as food and to the air as thermal energy .Therefore primary consumers get almost 10% of autotrophs prduced energy. The second consumers in the pyramid get 1% from primary consumer. In the case of tertiary consumers, they get only 0.1%. Hence the top consumer of a food pyramid receives the least energy.

You are studying lipoprotein processing in a strain of mutant mice. You find that these mice synthesize the same apolipoprotein
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer: Option E -- RNA Editing

Explanation:

It should be noted that, RNA editing can be defined as a molecular process via which some cells can make discrete changes to specific nucleotide sequences within an mRNA molecule after it has been generated by RNA polymerase. In addition, we have two major types of RNA editing with 1 being a C-to-U change catalyzed by cytidine deaminase that deaminates a cytidine base into a uridine base, e.g C-to-U editing is with the apolipoprotein B gene in humans. ApoB-100 is expressed in the liver and apoB-48 is expressed in the intestines. The B-100 form comprises of a CAA sequence that is edited to UAA, a stop codon, in the intestines.
