North focused on political and economic issues  is what contributed to ending Reconstruction

Explanation:

Incompetent law implementation, ferocity and corruption led to the end of reconstruction. North concentrated much on political concerns and gave up the rights of equality for African Americans.  

Southerners experienced a major blow and lost property and lands, damaged railroads and agricultural shortage elite farm owners faced lack of slaves and laborers, as the African Americans were freed and they migrated to north in search of new employment opportunities. African Americans gained equal rights of enfranchisement and segregation was abolished.
