<u><em>CONFLICT OF ROLES </em></u>

It occurs when there are demands, demands on the job, which are inconsistent or incompatible with each other to perform such work.

Role conflict has been shown to be related to dissatisfaction, decreased involvement with work, and impaired performance. Among the industrial workers submitted to some conflict of roles, a greater tension has been found to cause them work, less satisfaction with it and less confidence in the organization.

<u>The role conflict situation</u> can originate in different ways. It is understood that a person will suffer a conflict of roles if he perceives that one or more persons or groups of the organization, with whom he is linked (within a system of roles), have divergent expectations on what to do and/or how to behave, that they are incompatible or incongruent with each other or with the accomplishment of the work.  In general, people seek to play roles that are congruent with their system of beliefs and values. When this is not achieved, personal conflicts may arise and situations that are experienced as a source of great tension for the person <em><u>(ROLE TENSION) </u></em>who bears them with great emotional cost by having to go over their value system, since the change of job is not easy given the situation of the labor market.

Nookie1986 [14]

In 1985, reform-minded Mikhail Gorbachev came to power as General Secretary of the Soviet Union. He introduced reforms along liberal lines. The two reforms most commonly associated with him are glasnost and perestroika. Glasnost means 'openness' and refers to government transparency and increased freedom of expression.

Perestroika refers to a series of political and economic reforms meant to kickstart the stagnant 1980s economy of the Soviet Union. Its architect, President Mikhail Gorbachev, would oversee the most fundamental changes to his nation's economic engine and political structure since the Russian Revolution.

1.How does the document The Code of Hammurabi show some of the changes which took place when humans shifted from a nomadic way o
otez555 [7]

Answer:

The ancient Babylonian king ruled with military and diplomatic finesse—and he also knew a thing or two about self-promotion.

Explanation:

More than 3,800 years after he took power, the ancient Babylonian king Hammurabi is best remembered for the Code of Hammurabi which was inscribed on human-sized stone pillars that he placed in the towns of his realm.

But the system of 282 laws was just one of the achievements of a leader who turned Babylon, a city-state located 60 miles south of modern-day Baghdad, into the dominant power of ancient Mesopotamia.

During his reign, which lasted from 1792 to his death in 1750 B.C., Hammurabi in many ways also served as a model for how to combine military power, diplomatic finesse and political skill to build and control an empire that stretched from the Persian Gulf inland for 250 miles along the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.
