Answer:

288*5=1440.

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets take the first 2 numbers,

24 can be formed either by adding 12 to the first number 12 or multiplying the first number(12) by 2.

Now lets take the second and third numbers,

if we add 12 to the second number we get 36. But the third number is 72. So adding 12 is not the pattern.

Lets multiply 24 by 2 as in the first case, we get 48. This is also not the correct pattern.

We can multiply 24 by 3 and we get 72.

So we have a new pattern, that is multiply 1st number by 2 to get 2nd number and multiply 2nd number by 3 to get 3rd number. According to this pattern we should multiply 3rd number by 4 to get the 4th number.

Now lets check whether we get the 4th number by multiplying 3rd number by 4.

72*4=288

So we get the 4th number.

So the next number would be 4th number multiplied by 5;

288*5=1440.

Instructions: Find tire slope between the two points given. Then, use the slope and one of the points to write the equation of t
faust18 [17]

Answer:

Equation: y = 2x — 3

Slope: 2

Y-intercept: —3

Step-by-step explanation:

m=∆y/∆x

= —3—(—1)/0—1

= —2/—1

= 2

We Know: y - y0 = m (x—x0)

y — (—3) = 2 (x — 0)

y + 3 = 2x

y = 2x — 3

So

Equation: <em>y </em><em>=</em><em> </em><em>2</em><em>x</em><em> </em><em>—</em><em> </em><em>3</em>

Slope: <em>2</em>

Y-intercept: —3
