. The Confederacy gained control of the Union’s capital. The Confederacy gained control of the northern railroads. Most of the Union troops were lost during this battle in Virginia.

The Second Battle of Bull Run, fought in 1862, was a total victory for the Confederate Army under command of Gen. Robert E. Lee, despite heavy losses. He  managed to accomplish a strategic , successful offensive against an army twice the size of his own army, and left the enemy with a very low morale and in retreat.

Dhamma Day--This day commemorates the preaching of Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta which literally translated means "When the Wheel of Dharma is set to Motion". It is believed to be the day when Lord Buddha imparted his first teaching.

Pavarana--This date marks the end of the intensive practice Buddha endured.

Kathina--Donations especially robes are given to monks to express gratitude.

Bodhi Day--According to traditions, Bodhi marks the day that Siddhartha Gautama became the historical Buddha by which he experienced his first enlighten
