You would need to factor both the top and bottom trinomials. To do this you need to multiply A and C together and leave B alone. Once you did this find 2 numbers that multiply to get the product of A*C and add to get B. Since your A is one once you find those 2 numbers just put them in to separate set of parentheses and add an Z in front. Do this for both ones and then cancel what you can and that's your answer

Miguel is a cartoonist. Miguel drew 2 cartoon cells in 3 hours. If he keeps drawing at the same rate, about how many cells will
Sonja [21]

In three hours Miguel drew 2 cartoon cells . And since he keeps drawing at the same rate, therefore,

in one hour Miguel drew (2/3) cartoon cells .

Hence in 9 hours, Miguel drew (2/3)* 9 = 18/3=6 cartoon cells .

So the answer of the given question is 6 cartoon cells .

1 L of a 78% acid solution was mixed with 6 L of a 64% acid solution. Find the concentration of the new mixture.
JulijaS [17]

The first solution contributes 0.78*1 = 0.78 L of acid.

The second contributes 0.64*6 = 3.84 L of acid.

There will be 7 L total of the new solution, and 3.84 + 0.78 = 4.62 total L of acid in it. So the new solution has a concentration of 4.62/7 = 0.66, or about 66%.

What is -2n - 24 = -8(2n-4) , and how do I do it? Thanks in advance.
myrzilka [38]
-2n-24=-8(2n-4)
Multiply both sides by -1
2n+24=8(2n-4)
Distribute the right side
2n+24=16n-32
Subtract 2n from both sides
24=14n-32
Add 32 to both sides
56=14n
Divide 14 from both sides
n=4
