A sponge gets dropped on the floor on a cold dark day. It was dropped just after it rained so the ground is still moist. The spo

nge is as big as your hand. It weighs as much as you do so its not able to bounce or move once it falls. It is very scrubby. Enough to scrub the floor. The floor is as long as a queen sized bed. Is the floor now clean or is the sponge now dirty? There is only one right answer. Be sure to explain why your answer is correct. I will give brainliest.

The floor is now clean because it just rained. The sponge can’t be dirty because the floor is already clean because of the rain. DONT CRITISIZE ME ABOUT GRAMMAR! I CAN GRAMMAR VERY GOODLY!!!

ANSWER:

The sponge is now dirty.

This is as some of the water and filth from the ground would have transferred onto the sponge. However, not all of the water and filth from the ground would have been transferred onto the sponge meaning that the floor wouldn't be clean. This is as the sponge is far smaller in size comparatively to the floor. As well as this, the sponge was only dropped on part of the floor it wasn't used to scrub the whole floor clean. It also isn't large enough to have the capacity to absorb all the water and filth on the entire surface of the floor.

Hope this helps! :)

Which of the following groups is characterized by both a high ionization energy and an electron affinity that is close to zero?
GaryK [48]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

Noble gases do not want to lose electrons because they have a full outer shell, so their ionization energy will be very high. Their electron affinity is close to zero because they also do not want to attract electrons to their cell since they already have all 8 valence electrons.

In "Only Daughter," which passage is an example of irony?
lorasvet [3.4K]
<span>A. Being an only daughter in a family of six sons forced me by circumstance to spend a lot of time by myself because my brother felt it beneath them to play with a girl in public.

That is an example because she spends most of her time to herself when she has all of those siblings.
