HELP !?!?!?!?

English
2 answers:
Digiron [165]4 years ago

1. -

Since everything there was said by Jesse at the same time (we know that by the way the sentence was structured) "said Jesse" should go at the end of the sentence.

2. -

As far as I can see, there are no mistakes. The are other possible options:

→ "No! I'm ok... I think I broke my arm" replied Sam in pain.

→ "Okay, but first call my mom" cried Sam (you can also keep your original "yelled Sam").

Hope it helped,

For your first question, the correct excerpts that is structured correctly is,

"She wants to go outside... and walk the dog," Jesse said.

Always finish your though before finish of the sentence with in your case. "Jesse said"

For the second question, it's done perfectly, but reading it over I think you should take the last word or Sam, in the sentence "Sam, are you okay?" asked Jean as she ran to help Sam." Maybe but a her instead of "asked Sam?" I don't know, that's just me, it just sounds more right. Although, you can still keep Sam in instead of her or just "ran to help", otherwise everything is great!

Hope this helped!

ANSWER IF YOU READ TANGERINE written by Edward Bloor
Dafna1 [17]
When Paul is forced to leave Lake Windsor Middle School and go to Tangerine Middle School, he encounters a whole new way of life. Paul is dealing with a move from Houston, Texas to Florida.

When he moves to Tangerine County he thinks of himself as a nerd, because that's how he was always treated. But in both Lake Windsor and Tangerine Middle School he becomes popular when he proves his skills on the soccer field. He is surprised when kids start to like him. Nothing boosts his confidence more than playing with the Lake Windsor Middle School team, the War Eagles. The War Eagles are wild and strong and full of pride. They win every game and Paul is proud and empowered by being a part of them. This growing self-confidence helps Paul learn to defend the kids of Tangerine Middle, as well as to stand up to Erik.

1.) According to Holinshed, what was Duncan like as a king?
Maru [420]
The correct answer for 1 is b. Duncan is characterized as mild-mannered and altruistic, wanting only the best for his kingdom. Unfortunately, this makes him an easy target for those who want the throne.

The correct answer for 2 is d. Macbeth is a brave and well-respected warrior. In fact, his victory on the battlefield brings him great honor. However, Macbeth demonstrates his cruelty in Holinshed's account after he ascends to the throne and rules over his kingdom.

The correct answer for 3 is c. Banquo is initially Macbeth's ally during war, and then becomes an accomplice when Macbeth plots the murder of King Duncan (this is different from Shakespeare's interpretation of Banquo, who becomes Macbeth's rival for the throne).

The correct answer for 4 is a. As discussed in Question 1, Macbeth is a brave, valiant warrior, while Duncan is a more passive king. Macbeth, then, is confident that war will stop the rebels.

The correct answer for 5 is b. Holinshed repeatedly uses the word "women," and although he describes them more as fairies or nymphs rather than witches, he never actually uses these supernatural words to define them.

Who fears that his own mistakes may have angered god and brought his wrath on Salem
IgorC [24]

In "The Crucible", by Arthur Miller, the character that fears that his own mistakes may have angered God and brought his wrath on Salem is Reverend John Hale. Hale is a young minister, expert in witchcraft who is in Salem to examine Betty, Parris's daughter. He is an intelligent man and doesn't fall on blindly trying to blame everybody of witchcraft. Instead he fears his presence has brought God's wrath on Salem. "Let you councel among yourselves; think of your village and what may have drawn from heaven such thundering wrath upon you all."
