Answer:

The Interstate Commerce Act of 1887 required A. Equality in shipping rates charged by railroads.

Explanation:

The “Interstate Commerce Act” was passed in 1887. It is a federal law that was planned that helped in regulating the railroad industry. The Act made it obligatory that railroad rates should be "reasonable and just,". Though the government did not have the power to fix certain rates.

It also mentioned that railroads should announce the shipping rates and there should be no discrimination for the charges especially for smaller markets and farmers in Western or Southern Territory. The Act also created a federal regulatory agency, which monitored the railroads to make sure that they are complying with all the new rules and regulations.

What was the most significant impact of the Spanish-American War on South Carolina?
lapo4ka [179]

It helped bring the state out of a Depression by providing jobs in the military. Many Americans who fought in that war came from South Carolina. The State had a camp where soldiers trained in preparation for that war called Camp Wetherell. South Carolina also supplied funds for its citizens who joined the war and fought against the Spaniards. Unions were created in the 1800 to 1. to improve working conditions for industrial workers. Many workers were working in dangerous conditions with very little pay and they were no longer in favor of such conditions that they formed unions.

What child labor was like during the progressive era?
FinnZ [79.3K]

Answer:

Back in the day, child labour during the progressive era was difficult to manage. There were no substantial laws to protect the children from child labour. Laws were being formulated as a part of the progressive movement.

There are many laws which protect the children from child labour that there be specified time of work, minimum wage which will be provided to them, there will be certain fields and occupations they will not be allowed to work. and they will have to authenticate their age and have a work permit.

Child labour contributions are not minimum, child labours are naive and unable to defend themselves. Th e person does not have to pay themselves less.

Explanation:

Child labour was a massive business back in the days, People would sell their children and or siblings etc just because they were poor and there was not enough bread to go around.
