why did other religious men condemned the ideas of Copernicus if he was proving that God created a more perfect system?

History

One of the main reasons why the ideas of Copernicus were not initially accepted was because Copernicus did not believe the planetary system to have been created by God. This went against the ideas of the Catholic Church, which stated that God was responsible for all creation. Even if it was argued that God had created this system (a more perfect one that was previously believed to be possible), this new system placed the sun, and not the Earth, at the centre of the universe. This implied that humans were not the most important thing in the universe, and that God had not created the whole system only for human benefit, which also contradicted the dominant ideas of the time.

How did Judaism differ from earlier religious in Southwest Asia
Oxana [17]

The main difference was Monotheism. Judaism, unlike other earlier religions from the Middle East, worshiped one god. In ancient times, when Judaism arose, the prevailing religions in the region were Assyro-Babylonian religion and the Canaanite religions, that used to worship many gods and, in some cases, were more consistent in worshiping one particular god above others.

Other concepts totally new in South East Asia that Judaism brought was the idea of being a chosen people by God and the Messianism, this is the concept of a divine message sent to the people of God through messengers or prophets.
