Hi. This is is how it goes tep by step.

Cut the rectangle/shape the way you feel more comfortable. However, you don't know so I will recommend you cut it in half from where the 12 is. so now the 12 ft would be broken in to 2. the top section would be 45 ft because 5 times 9 is 45. the bottom would be 98 because 7 time 14 is 98. the total would be 143. for the first one.

What is the probability of the complement of rolling a number less than 5 by using a six-sided die?
Inessa05 [86]
<h3><u>Answer:</u></h3>

Hence, the probability of the complement of rolling a number less than 5 by using a six-sided die is:

1/3

<h3><u>Step-by-step explanation:</u></h3>

Let A denote the event of rolling a number less than 5 in a six-sided die.

Now, we know that the Total outcomes are: 6

since, the sample space is given as: {1,2,3,4,5,6}

Also Number of favorable outcomes are: 4

since the numbers which are less than 5 are {1,2,3,4}

Now we have to find:

P(A^c)

where P denotes the probability of an event and A^c denote the complement of event A.

We know that:

P(A^c)=1-P(A)

Now,

P(A)=\dfrac{4}{6}\\\\P(A)=\dfrac{2}{3}

Hence,

P(A^c)=1-\dfrac{2}{3}\\\\P(A^c)=\dfrac{3-2}{3}\\\\P(A^c)=\dfrac{1}{3}

Hence, the probability of the complement of rolling a number less than 5 by using a six-sided die is:

1/3

<span>Let ∠ ADC = 2β

Ac and BD are perpendicular bisectors of each other ⇒⇒ (Given information)

∴ BD </span><span>bisects the angle ADC
∴ ∠ADE = 0.5 ∠ADC = β

And in ΔADE:
∵∠DEA = 90°    ⇒⇒⇒ from the given information
∴∠DAE = 90° - β

And AC bisects ∠DAB  </span><span><span>⇒⇒⇒ from the given information

Anyone have any clue? would love help even for one of the questions!
Alex787 [66]

Answer:

OC = 10.07 CM

BC = 9.73 cm

area triangle OAB = 97.98 cm^2

area of sector OADB = 150.05 cm^2

% of diagram that is shaded = 65%

Step-by-step explanation:

cos 44 = OC/14

0.71934(14) = OC = 10.07

sin 44 = BC/14

0.6947(14) = BC = 9.73

area of sector OADB = (88/380)(Pi)14^2) =150.05

area triangle OAB = (OC)(BC)(0.5)(2) = 97.98

% of diagram shaded = 97.98/150.05 = 0.65 = 65%
