There are many answers for this question. One of those reasons is simply because people tend to believe that they are superior to others. An example of this would be slavery. Just because they had a different skin color, white people thought they were better than colored people. It's sad that society is like this, and it will never go away unfortunately, as history does tend to repeat itself...
Answer:
Since you were probably very young, maybe even in the beginning of elementary, you've heard of bullying. You've probably even experienced it. whether you were the bully, or the victim, you've most likely had your own encounter with the topic.
Bullying is not something that should be tolerated ever. Under no circumstances should someone undergo any sort of physical or mental harm. Bullying can have a serious toll on an individuals mental health and overall well being. For example, people who have been bullied have a higher risk of being prone to suicidal thoughts/actions at a younger age.
Being the victim is no fun. Having someone constantly poking fun at you is overbearing and miserable. If you are a victim of bullying, seek help as soon as possible without putting yourself in harms way, if you are worried about the bullying getting worse, get your parental figures involved.
Being the bully isn't the best feeling in the world either, typically speaking, someone bullies another individual because they have insecurities or experience at home issues. If you know of someone who tends to bully others, talk to them about it, or bring a mediator into the situation. Always get someone involved to keep yourself out of danger.
In conclusion, no matter who it is, or if you think they deserve it, don't let bullying go unoticed, speak up, when it all boils down, someone's life might rest in your hands.
