What effects have the U.S.-Cuba trade embargo had on the economies of both countries?
Aneli [31]

The Us were able to find same Cuban products from other supplier countries, while the Cuban country had to find other suppliers.

Cuba was not able to develop a high commerce with the US and the surrounding countries were not necessarily the best ones to make business with. Cuba had the support from the former USSR until 1989 when it was dissolved. Russia continued helping but not at the same level or amount as before.

Why did the U.S. Congress refuse to allow America to be part of the League of Nations and the Treaty of Versailles,
Eva8 [605]

Answer:

The right answer is "American soldiers would have to fight in foreign conflicts."

Explanation:

Isolationists in the U.S. Senate managed to block Wilson´s intentions to join the League of Nations, which was the child of Wilson himself. Their strongest opposition was to Article X of the League´s Covenant. It required all members of the organization to assist any member threatened by external agression. That commitment would force the U.S. to defend another states if they were attacked. The Senate did not pass the necessary legislation for the country to adhere to the League´s Covenant.
