The control of other nations was very important to the Ottoman Empire, this control was made by the Ottoman expansion which was largely dependent on a strong and powerful navy, because the voyages to reach the new nations were made by sea. In addition, it was important for the Ottomans to have control of trade routes. Since goods were transported by ship, it was very important that the Ottoman navy controlled this sector.

Having control of surrounding seas helps a lot in many different ways. I will name a couple of it s benefits.
1.Can control trade by sea.
2. Can prevent attacks from sea level and below sea level.
3.And at the time of ottomans sea travel was very dominant.
