A new type of tulip is produced that develops only purple or pink flowers. Assume that flower color is controlled by a single ge

ne locus, and that the purple allele (C) is dominant to the pink allele (c). A random sample of 1000 tulips from a large cultivated field yields 847 purple flowers and 153 pink flowers. A gene test determines that 243 of the purple flowers are CC and 604 of the purple flowers are Cc. What is the allele frequency of C in this population?

I think the dominant allele frequency should be 75% since the other 25% would be the pink allele. Hope this helped :p

It is possible for a baby to be born using ivf and a technique called somatic nuclear transfer. somatic nuclear transfer involve
kifflom [539]

The answer is there (3). This is because a mitochondrion has it own DNA called mitochondrial DNA. Therefore the three genetic materials from different parents (mitochondria from donor mother, DNA from biological mother and DNA from biological father) would be present in the baby. Somatic nucleus transfer is the medical procedure used when the biological mother has mitochondria disorder which she would not wish to pass to her offsprings (which are inherited maternally).

Which phase of the Moon will appear 14 days after the moon phase below?
Wewaii [24]

Answer:

The Full Moon Phase

Explanation:

After 14 days, the moon is 180 degrees away from the Sun, with the Sun, Earth and Moon, forming a straight line. The moon would completely be illuminated by the Sun. Hence, this is called the “full moon phase.” This is the only time during the entire month when the Earth's shadow could be close to the moon.
