Answer:

Due to the Geographical proximity of Spain to North Africa, and its economic power compared to the African nations makes it an attractive options for North African immigrants.

Explanation:

In recent years, the refugee crisis has seen Spain welcome many refugees from North African countries some of which were historically controlled by the Spanish. These regions see Spain as economically superior and the relaxed immigration laws allow a way of starting life over in a better place to live.

the geographical proximity of Spain, which in some regions is as close as 40 km from the African shore makes it a less arduous journey for refugees to make.

Under the Articles of Confederation, on whom did the Confederation Congress rely to enforce its laws?
xz_007 [3.2K]

A. Individual states.

Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation was the first constitution for the United States. They were known for being very weak and giving little to no power to the government, only to the states. Under the Articles, the government could not tax the states, regulate trade, create and enforce laws properly, draft soldiers, and other important aspects of what a government needs to do.

Since most of the power went to the states, it was very hard to do anything. The Confederation Congress relied on the states in order to enforce any laws and 9 out of 13 of the states had to agree with it.

Eventually, people started to realize how the Articles of Confederation was doing more harm than good and was potentially harming the country. The people who believed in this and wanted to amend the Articles were called Federalists. On the other hand, people who were in support of the Articles and wanted the power to be in the hands of the states were called Anti-Federalists.

When the Constitutional Convention of 1787 was called, the original goal was to amend the Articles of Confederation. This did not happen though. The Articles actually ended up getting scrapped altogether and the United States Constitution was created instead.
